This is a densely woven cotton canvas with a crisp handle. Kakishibu is a process of dyeing with natural botanical tannins.Persimmon juice is fermented to achieve this rich tea-brown, which develops and deepens with exposure to the sun. Due to the nature of the dye, the colour is mottled and marbled, and inconsistencies are to be expected.
*As with all natural dyed fabrics we recommend hand washing this fabric a mild detergent to prevent fading.
