Description

Luke Butler toys with contemporary mythology. To him, THE END is a classical figure that looms in our consciousness, despite our ability to see right through it. As a static image floating in its own pictorial space, it seems contradictory, absurd, and poignantan anti-picture. In referring only to itself, it sheds its familiar narrative role and takes up that of a memento mori.
